Welcome to Quorum. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("Quorum" or the "App").

We collect information to provide better services to our users. The types of information we collect include:

• Account Data: If you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials.
• Profile Information: Any custom personas you create, including their text descriptions and uploaded avatar images.
• Usage Data: We may collect anonymous analytics data regarding how you use the App to improve our services and reading experience.
• Purchase Information: If you subscribe or make a purchase, payment information is processed securely by Apple and/or our revenue management partner (e.g., Superwall). We do not store your direct payment details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide, operate, and maintain Quorum.
• To synchronize your custom personas and settings across your devices using Firebase.
• To process your subscriptions and manage access to premium features.
• To improve App performance, aesthetics, and the AI commentary engine.

3. Third-Party Services and AI Models

Quorum integrates several advanced technologies:

• Local AI Processing: Most AI operations (such as MediaPipe/Gemma commentary generation) are processed directly on your device. Your article data does not leave your device for these local inferences.
• Remote AI Processing: If you opt to use cloud-based Foundation Models for commentary generation, the relevant text snippets are sent securely to those APIs for processing.
• Data Storage: Custom persona data (including avatars) is securely synced to the cloud via Firebase. Data for inactive or unsubscribed users may be automatically deleted after a specified period (e.g., 15 days).

4. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

5. Your Choices

You can choose to delete your custom personas at any time within the App, which will result in their removal from our cloud storage. You may also delete your account entirely by contacting us or using the in-app deletion tools.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last Updated" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
